Drug court wash out headed back to prison after felony petition to revoke conviction

A Fort Smith man with previous drug convictions was sent back to prison on Wednesday after receiving a four year sentence for Felony Petition to Revoke after dismissal from the Sebastian County Drug Court.

Brett Travis Davis, 36, was arrested in March on the petition to revoke warrant after receving Drug Court sanctions led to the petition to terminate his place in the alternative sentencing program.

Davis was sentenced to four years in the ADC along with six years of suspended imposition of sentence. The court allowed for the sentence to be served in a regional correction facility.

Davis' original crimes that led to the revocation included an August, 2020 arrest for Possession of Controlled Subatances and Paraphernalia and a 2018 conviction for similar crimes that resulted in no jail time
