Dover woman killed in one-vehicle accident early Saturday morning on SR 164 East in Pope County

A 41-year old Dover woman died in the wee-hours of Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident on State Highway 164 East in Dover.

Police say Sarah Lynn Kelleher was eastbound on State Road 164 East in a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox when she crossed the center line and entered the south ditch. The vehicle;e proceeded to follow the ditch, striking six mailboxes before finally crashing into a culvert and coming to a stop.

Kelleher was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pope County Coroner's office..

Pope County Deputy Kyle Jones worked the accident and said the weather was clear and the pavement was dry at the time of the 4:43 a.m. accident.
