Five days after a Benton County accident that took the life of a Pea Ridge man, the Arkansas State Police posted a preliminary report on the single-vehicle crash today.
According to that report, 51-year-old Lester Dover of Pea Ridge was driving a Ford F-10 South on Highway 279 near the intersection of Walney Drive in Bella vista.
That report says that it appears that Lester jumped from the vehicle while driving off the road near the intersection.
Officer Tom Harmon of the Bella Vista Police Department worked the accident and noted cloudy weather conditions and dry roads at the time of the crash which occurred at 9:00 p.m. on January 15.
