Dallas man killed in Saturday night one-car crash in Benton County
A 30-year-old Dallas resident was killed in a 7 p.m. accident Saturday in Bentonville, according to the Arkansas State Police.
According to the report published 24-hours after the fatality, Pedro Carillo was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon southwest on Southwest Barron Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control and started sliding sideways.
The Neon exited the roadway on the left side and struck a tree in the 92oo block off Southwest Barron.
Officer Josh Holland of the Bentonville Police Department said Carillo was pronounced dead at the scene. Holland noted clear conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the crash.
Carillo's death marks the 150th death on Arkansas roads this year compared to 132 fatalities for the same time period a year ago.
