Crawford County man hit by car in Alma on Friday dies at Washington Regional Medical Center

A Crawford County man died Friday morning when he was struck by a car on State Highway 162 in Alma.
According to information released by the Arkansas Department of Safety, Ronny Ray Rowden, 60, of Alma was attempting to cross SH 162 and Westfork Street in Alma when he was struck by a 2004 Lincoln Towncar.
According to an Arkansas State Police report the LIncoln was northbound at the time of the accident, which occurred at 8:58 am.
Rowden was initially taken to Washington Regional Medical Center where he later expired.
Sgt. Stene Hutchison of the Alma Police Department noted clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of the accident.
