Crawford County felon draws two years in ADC for Domestic Battery and Terroristic Threatening

A Crawford County man with numerous arrests and convictions over the past several years pled guilty on two felony counts onFriday in 12th Circuit Division 1 court in Fort Smith on Friday and was sentenced to two years in the Arkansas Deprtment of Corrections for his crimes.


Cody Blake Crews, 26, accepted a plea deal that resulted in a two year imposed sentence and an additional four years suspended for Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree and Domestic Battering in the Third Degree. The sentences are set to run concurrently.


As part of the plea deal, charges for Petition to Revoke were dropped against Crews.


It appears that arrest came back in February, but he was arrested again in March on Aggravated Assault-Choke, Failure to Appear and Contempt charges.


That followed an arrest in September of last year on various misdemeanor and felony charges that kept him in the county lock-up for 36 days. Crews has been arrested in Sebastian County on a plethora of charges dating back to 2018 including Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that resulted in a revocation arrest, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Theft by Receiving.


And even in that 2018 arrest he was charged with a Felony Petition to Revoke the following year.


In addition to his jail time, Crews is to have no contact with his victim and will be forced to pay fines , fees and restitution of $60 monthly starting ninety days after his release.
