Crash on Don Tyson Parkway in Springdale proves fatal to pair of unidentified victims

Local police in Springdale worked in an accident Wednesday morning in which two men were killed in a one-car collision in the 2200 block of Don Tyson Parkway. 


According to a report from the Springdale Police Department that was filed with the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, a 2023 Chevy Traverse was westbound on Don Tyson Parkway at approximately 7:45 a.m. Wednesday morning when the vehicle exited the roadway on the right and collided with a concrete retaining wall. 


The names of the men, listed respectively as John Doe's we're not identified although they were listed by ages and hometown.


John Doe #1 was listed as being 52 years old and from Springdale while John Doe #2 was listed as 83 years of age from Fayetteville. It is unknown why the victims' names were not revealed.


Corporal Carey Landrum of the Springdale Police Department worked the accident ;s unknown why the mn;s identities were not revealed.

investigation and stated that weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash. 


The two deaths represent the 313-314th fatal accident on highways and roads in the state of Arkansas for 2024.
