

A 35-year-old Benton County man died Monday as the result of injuries he received when he was struck in a crosswalk at the busy intersection of South Dixieland Road and West Olrich Street in Rogers.
Billie Wix Russell, Bentonville, was was crossing South Dixieland Road in Rogers from east to west when he was struck in the crosswalk by a southbound 2009 Audi shortly before 8 p.m. Monday night.
Russell was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Rogers where he later died of his injuries.
According to the preliminary report filed by Rogers traffic officer Liam Carey, conditions were reportedly clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
