Construction of a new restroom will begin at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park (1815 Old Greenwood Road) tomorrow, June 27, 2023.
Parks Maintenance Staff will begin removing the dilapidated restroom located on the north side of the park to prepare the site for the new restroom.
For the safety of our citizens and Maintenance Staff, the electricity to the park will be turned off beginning at 7:30am tomorrow.
The splash pad will be inoperable tomorrow, June 27th. Please be advised portable restrooms will be placed near the splash pad and inclusive playground until the new restroom is delivered and ready for use.
Project Information: This project includes the demolition of the dilapidated restroom to the west of the inclusive playground and splash pad.
A new, pre-fabricated restroom will be installed. The restroom is configured as a four, single-user structure.
Two single-user restrooms will face the west and the other two will face the east towards the inclusive playground and splash pad.
