Collision between car and motorcycle on Midland Boulevard results in death of Van Buren man

On Wednesday, a head-on collision on Midland Boulevard resulted in the death of 27-year-old Landin Young of Alma.
The accident occurred at 6:20 a.m. at the 6000 block of Midland Boulevard, according to Officer Ashley Breedlove of the Fort Smith Police Department.
Young, riding a 2020 Honda Grom southbound, was struck by a 2020 Toyota Camry driven northbound. Officer Breedlove reported the Camry attempted to pass other northbound traffic on the left, colliding with Young’s motorcycle. The weather was clear, and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
Young was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Sebastian County Coroner’s Office, and next of kin have been notified. No injuries were reported for the Camry driver.
