Cold Case Files: Washington County officials have been searching for Fayetteville man for three years
On February 21, 2023, 40-year-old Michael Alan Horner was last known to be in Fayetteville, He has not been heard from since.
. More than three years later, investigators still have almost nothing beyond that last date of contact.
Horner was born December 16, 1982. He is a white man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. When he vanished he wore a trimmed red-brown beard and mustache. He uses both prescription glasses and contact lenses.
He left the glasses behind and was last wearing contacts. On his right forearm is a tattoo of the phrase “come and get them” written in Latin. On his left forearm is a three-inch heartbeat line. A Psalm verse is tattooed on his left deltoid.
He may have been carrying a blue duffel bag. On his right hand he wore a silver ring whose top was molded in the shape of a Viking helmet.
He may have been driving a gray 2016 Chrysler Town and Country registered in Arkansas, license plate 120ZZC, with a 2023 expiration. Witnesses and family have described two half-moon stickers and a full moon sticker on the rear window and a Razorback sticker on the tailgate.
That van has never been publicly accounted for in a way that closed the case.

That thin record is itself part of why the file has stayed cold.
