In the small, tight-knit town of Mena a lingering mystery has gripped the community for over four years, its unanswered questions weighing heavily on those who knew Angela June Fagan.

A 45-year-old woman with striking strawberry blonde hair and vivid blue eyes, Angela was last seen on September 1, 2021, living her life as if it were any other day.

Surveillance footage from the local EZ Mart captured her at 6:35 a.m., dressed in black shorts and tennis shoes, reportedly helping a friend move.

She moved through the store with purpose, unaware that this fleeting moment would become the last confirmed sighting of her. By evening, all communication with Angela ceased—her phone went silent, and she vanished into thin air, leaving behind a void that has yet to be filled.

Four days later, on September 5, a chilling discovery intensified the mystery. Angela’s sedan was found abandoned in a secluded, wooded area near Two Mile Creek, off Polk Road 78, close to Potter in Polk County.

The scene inside the car was as puzzling as it was heartbreaking. Her purse, keys, driver’s license, cell phone, and Social Security card were all there, untouched, as if she had stepped away for just a moment. Fresh vegetables and a container of chocolate milk sat among her belongings, suggesting she might have been living out of her vehicle, perhaps navigating a transient phase of life.

The discovery painted a picture of a woman caught in a fleeting, vulnerable moment, yet investigators found no definitive signs of foul play. Still, the circumstances felt far from ordinary, stirring suspicion and unease.

Angela was officially reported missing on September 8, prompting the Mena Police Department and Arkansas State Police to launch a thorough investigation. They combed through tips from the community, some hinting at personal connections that might hold clues, but every lead fizzled out.

No suspects were named, and the case grew colder with each passing month. Now classified as a cold case by the Arkansas State Police Cold Case Unit, Angela’s disappearance remains a haunting enigma, with no new leads publicly disclosed.T

Anyone with knowledge of Angela’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Mena Police Department at (479) 394-1212, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at (479) 394-2511, or the Arkansas State Police Cold Case Unit at (501) 618-8000

For those seeking information on potential rewards for leads that could bring Angela home, the Mena Police Department is the point of contact.

Angela’s family and the Mena community refuse to let her story fade. They share her posters on social media, pin it to community boards, and pass it along in conversations, hoping that even the smallest detail—a fleeting memory or an overlooked observation—might crack the case.

Time presses on, but the urgency to find Angela remains undimmed. Her disappearance is a wound that won’t heal, and the call to action grows louder with each passing day: share her story, speak her name, and help bring answers to a family and a town still waiting for closure.
