On August 16, 2022, the Fort Smith Board of Directors approved A bid of Forsgren, Inc. in the amount of $1,078,140.00FOR the realignment of a sanitary sewer main along Rogers Avenue, located between Waldron Road and South 56th Street.

The main needed to be replaced to increase capacity to mitigate a Recurring Sanitary Sewer Overflow, which had overflowed 10 times in the past three years.

This project replaced approximately 641 linear feet of 10-inch and 12-inch diameter pipe along Rogers Ave., between Waldron Road and South 56th Street, with an 18-inch diameter pipe, including one service connection and five manholes.

This project was completed on March 3, 2023, at 3.4% below the original contract amount and 16 days less than required for Final Completion.
