Circuit Court sentences Fort Smith woman to ten years in prison for November aggravated robbery

A Fort Smith woman was convicted Wednesday in Sebastian county circuit Court on a charge of aggravated robbery from a November 2022 incident.

According to information from the Sebastian county circuit court, Bonnie Gail Wehunt was given a 10-year sentence after a plea in open court. Wehunt, who has a number of felony arrests and convictions over the years, avoided two petitions to revoke charges by entering the plea deal.

Wehunt had been incarcerated in the Sebastian County Detention Center since her arrest in November of last year. She was given jail time credit towards her state sentence for time served.

According to information from Arkansas Court Connect, Wehunt has been a frequent customer of the local courtrooms. She has had felony convictions dating all the way back to at least 2015 under a number of different aliases.
