A man living on West Spruce Street in Fayetteville was taken into custody just after 9am Saturday by the Fayetteville Police Department on a First Degree Murder charge out of California.
Detectives went to his duplex apartment on Saturday morning and took 19-year-old Gabriel Castillo into custody without incident after they were contacted by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
Castillo is on the Washington County Detention Center on a no-bond hold awaiting extradition to California. His Rule 8.1 hearing has been set for February 1 at 7:45 am in Washington County Circuit Court.
