Booneville woman handed seven-year term after felony plea deal last week in SCCC


A 35-year-old Booneville woman who's been arrested seventeen times since 2014 in Sebastian County was sentenced to six-years in prison last week during a plea deal court session in Sebastian County Circuit Court.


Heather Denice Baker, who lives in the 12000 block of Barber Road in Booneville, was in court to face charges including possession of drug paraphernalia-second offense, possession of methamphetamine, theft by receiving, and furnishing a prohibited article. The court agreed to nolle pros the furnishing a prohibited article charge and Baker was sentenced to six years incarceration with an additional fourteen years suspended.


She was given credit for all time served previously to last week, and will have to furnish a DNA sample to the courts. She has to make restitution of $2,420 to State Farm and $50 to Wester Williams to be paid at $60 a month beginning 90 days after her release.


Baker will be banned from Dick's Sporting Goods and Maurice's and can have no contact with her victims. Her driver's license will be suspended for six months once she gets out of prison.


As of Sunday night she remained in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center awaiting her transfer to the ADC.
