A 68-year-old Booneville man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday on Old Highway 10 in rural Sebastian County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
James Weaver was the driver of a 1991 Chevy pickup truck that was westbound on Old Highway 10. Investigating Trooper Jeffrey R. Reeves said the truck exited the roadway, striking a ditch and coming to rest.
Weaver was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Sebastian County Coroner's office.
The actual cause of death was not listed on the report.
Trooper Reeves noted clear weather conditions and dry roadway at the time of the accident which occurred at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday night.
At the time of the crash, Weaver was the 243rd victim of roadway accidents in the state of Arkansas for 2024.
