Boone County woman dies in Tuesday afternoon two-vehicle accident in Bellefonte

The Arkansas State Police says a 74-year-old Bellefonte woman died Tuesday afternoon when the 2009 Chevrolet HHR in which she was a passenger was struck by a 2017 Jeep traveling northbound on US Highway 65.

The ASP preliminary report says Judith Laverne Prichard was a passenger in the HHR driven by 70-year-old Chris A, Neil that was southbound on Highway 65 at the intersection with Center Avenue in he town of Bellefonte. As Neil attempted a left hand turn on to Center, the HHR was struck in the passenger side door by the Jeep, which was driven by 20-year-old Damien Corbin Stewart of Harrison.

The impact was such that the HHR was rolled over on it's top and came to final rest on the east side of the roadway.

All three individuals involved in the accident were transported to the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

Trooper Nathan L. Bradley reported clear conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the crash.
