Boone County sex offender arrested for failing to register for the second time in a three month strech

Adam William Carroll, a 38-year-old white male from Omaha (Boone County) was taken into custody at 11:43 a.m. on August 7, 2026, by Probation and Parole officers on charges of parole violation and failure to register as a sex offender for failing to comply with reporting requirements.

Court records from Boone County Circuit Court show this is not Carroll’s first encounter with registration laws. In case 05CR-25-111, filed June 5, 2025, he was charged with the Class C felony of failing to register as a sex offender or report an address change under Arkansas Code 12-12-904(a).

The offense period covered roughly July 2024 through May 2025. Carroll, then listed as 36 years old, initially pleaded not guilty, applied for a public defender, and faced a scheduled jury trial.

On April 20, 2026, he entered a negotiated guilty plea before Circuit Judge John Putman. Sentencing followed on May 5, 2026. He received 84 months of probation and was credited with 130 days already served. The case was closed the same day.

That conviction placed him under ongoing supervision and strict registration obligations.

Less than three months later, he is again in custody for allegedly violating those same conditions and the terms of his parole.

Public records confirm Carroll was already required to register as a sex offender before the 2025 failure-to-register case. Details of the original qualifying offense that put him on the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry are not available in the open court dockets examined.

Carroll’s address has been associated with the Omaha area in Boone County.
