Boone County man garners second arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender violation

A Boone County man who has been convicted of multiple felonies in the past picked up his second arrest for Failure to Comply with the Registration Requirements as a Sex Offender in the past five years on Friday according t0 boking information from the Boone County Sheriff Office.


Glen Michael Fitzgerald of Omaha was arrested for the registration violation as well as one count of First Degree Assault on a Household Member. He apparently bonded out of jail sometime Saturday on the charges.


The most current address in Omaha for Fitzgerald shows him ,living in the 18000 Block of Boat Dock Road.


According to information from Arkansas Court Connect, the original arrest that placed Fitzgerald on the Sex Offender registry occurred in 2008, resulting in a 2009 conviction for three counts of Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree.


The victim in that case was a fourteen year-old female.


Dating back to 1991, Fitzgerald also has arrests and convictions for Theft of Property and Forgery on his record as well. In May of 2013, an Order of Protection was filed against Fitzgerald by a male individual with the same last name.


Fitzgerald's other arrest for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender occurred in October of 2016 and resulted in a three year prison sentence.
