A bond hearing was held this week for a 23-year-old woman charged with Negligent Homicide, Failure to Step After an Accident With Injury or Death and DWI in the February 12 accident that claimed the life of 17-year-old Arryonna Romero of Russellville.
Candace Lachel Embry, 23, was arrested on the warrant that had been issued April 15. Romero died on March 1 at the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock according to court records.
Embry was initially held on a no-bond hold but her bond was set at $100,000 at the hearing earlier in the week.
According the toxicology report received by the Russellville Police Department from the Arkansas State Crime Lab, Embty had a blook alcohol content of .071 as well as traces of cannabinoids, opiates and fentanyl in her system.
