Bentonville sex offender arrested for failing to update registration
The Bentonville Police Department arrested a Bentonville man on Friday and charged him with one count of Failure to Report as a Sex Offender.
According to booking information from the BCDC, Ryan William Hardy, 28, whose last reported address was in the 2300 block of Southwest Pawnee Place, was being held on $3500 cash/surety bond and remained in jail on Monday morning.
According to records on Arkansas Court Connect, Hardy was first charged with a 2009 violation in 2013 for two counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree. The case wound it's way through the court system until August of 2014 at which time Hardy negotiated a plea of guilty and received 120 month suspended sentence for his crime.
Judge Robin Green set the bail for Hardy, who in on hold for the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.
