Bentonville Police Department: Springdale man killed in fiery crash on SE Walton Boulevard in Bentonville

An accident that occurred early Saturday morning in Bentonville resulted in the death of 45-year-old Luis Abel Hernandez-Garcia from Springdale, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety and the Arkansas Staite Police.

,Hernandez-Garcia was driving a 2011 GMC Acadia westbound on SE Walton Boulevard when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a signal pole/street light.

The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire, and Hernandez-Garcia was trapped inside.

The crash occurred under clear weather conditions with a dry roadway, according to Bentoinville traffic officer JD Jordan.
