Law enforcement officials in northwest Arkansas say man was killed Friday afternoon in a single vehicle accident on State Highway 59 in Benton County. The Arkansas State Police reported this morning the death of 32-year-old Justin Holmes of Gravette in the accident that occurred just before 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. The ASP preliminary reports says that Holmes was driving a 2001 Chevrolet southbound along Highway 59 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a rocky bluff on the driver's side. After striking the bluff, the Ford traveled back across the road and then hit a guardrail with the rear bumper. Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene by the Benton County Coroner's Office. According to investigating Trooper corporal Joseph Gilliland, conditions were cloudy and the roadway was wet at the time of the fatal crash.
