Benton County suspect in rape released on $50,000 bond
A 22-year-old Pea Ridge man with a variety of arrests dating back to 2017 is in hot water again, this time on three felony charges including Rape.
Charles Frank Griffin was arrested by the Pea Ridge Police Department on three separate warrants including Rape, Aggravated Assault and Third Degree Misdemeanor Battery.
Griffin was released from jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
As part of the conditions of his pretrial release Griffin is to have no contact communication with the juvenile and stay away from her physical location. He was also ordered not to be in possession of any firearms, alcohol. illegal controlled substance or any controlled substance for which he does not have a prescription.
Griffin was arrested in January, 2017 for two counts of Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I/II and for Theft by Receiving/Firearm. The firearms charge was dismissed and he worked a plea deal on the drug infractions. He spent 56 days in the Benton County Detention Center and was given 36-months probation.
He was also tried in 2017 for Felony Breaking and Entering and Theft of Property/Firearms and a negotiated deal bought him 72 months of probation. He also had a Theft of Property for a Firearm and Credit Card charge dropped at that time as part of the plea agreement.
