Police in Benton County- say a 43-year-old Bella Vista man remains behind bars on Sunday night after an arrest on Saturday on four felony sex crime charges involving a minor.
Jeffrey Alan Bridger, who has also lived in Rogers, Springdale and Centerton, was arrested on bench warrants and charged with two counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree and two counts of Sexual Indecency with a Child.
The Class B and Class D felonies carry up to 5-10 years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine for the assault while Class D felonies are the least serious felonies in Arkansas, punishable by up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
The fact the arrest were made off warrants indicate an investigation has been underway, but no details have been posted on Arkansas Court Connect or any other online source as of 9:45 p.m. on Sunday. Public records in the case will obviously be redacted so to protect the identity of the victim.
