After making its mark on the film festival circuit, The Forest Through the Trees is now thrilling audiences as the latest streaming horror film release from New Jersey-based distributor, BayView Entertainment, Inc.

The terrifying film by director/co-writer Jason Pitts follows Chloe as she searches for her disappeared mother, Kathy. With help from her friend Ava and stepdad, Ken, the trio investigates a clue that leads them to a terrifying demon cult. Will they survive long enough to see Kathy again?

To date, the terror flick from Alma-based writer-director Jason Pitts has received accolades in nearly every category, including directing, acting, writing, cinematography, and musical score. It's frightened crowds at screenings in major cities including New York, Santa Barbara, Cleveland, Florence, and Madrid.

With many genre films under their collective belts, the cast is ably led by Annie Sullivan, James Stokes, Alivea Disney, and Ben Matias. Their efforts are galvanized by a horrifying portrayal by Scott Doss, whose character Julian is sure to go down in the annals of all-time great horror film fiends.

Respected horror film critic The Movie Ginger declared the film "isn't just another cult horror;

it's a well-executed nightmare that proves indie horror is still where the real terror lives."

For Pitts, making this film held greater meaning than simply scaring viewers.

"I love doing what I can to provide a platform for my team so they can show their talent and their artistry.  Many people worked so hard on this film, and the fact that it will be shown on streaming services everywhere is an absolute dream scenario. I hope this movie furthers the careers of the cast and crew."

BayView Entertainment, Inc. President Peter Castro added, "We are thrilled to have Jason's latest effort join our library of films aimed at the discerning horror viewer."

The Forest Through the Trees is enjoying a digital streaming rollout now and throughout the summer on finer streaming platforms. View the movie trailer here:
