A front-end impact collision involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2006 Ford on US Highway 71 in rural Logan County took the life of a 19-year-old Waldron woman on Thursday evening, according to the Arkansas state police.
Four other individuals, including two minors, were taken to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith and treated for unknown injuries.
Police say the accident occurred at just before 8 p.m. on April 4.
State Police officials said Allyson Dye, 19, of Waldron was southbound on a 2022 Harley near the vicinity of US Highway 71 South and dizzy Dean Road in Lucas when she failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the center line of the roadway.
The motorcycle impacted the front of the Ford. Dye was thrown clear of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending emergency management services personnel.
The Ford contained two adults and two minors. Aldolfo Hernandez of Grove and Cecilia Hernandez of Fort smith, both 35 years of age, as well as two minors in the Ford or injured in the accident.
Corporal Billy E.Turnipseed of the Arkansas State Police work the collision and noted clear weather conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the accident.
