ASP says motorcycle wreck near Mountainburg proves fatal to 53-year-old Van Buren man

A Van Buren man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on State Highway 71 near Mountainburg, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The victim, identified as 53-year-old Brad David Syrock, was traveling northbound on a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle. The motorcycle overturned onto its side and struck a guardrail.

The crash occurred around 10:14 a.m. under clear skies and dry road conditions.

Syrock, who was the sole occupant of the bike, was transported to Baptist Health in Van Buren, where he was later pronounced dead. His body is being held at the Crawford County Coroner’s Office.

No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the incident.
