ASP says Friday night motorcycle crash in rural Logan County kills one, sends passenger to hospital

Yet another fatal motorcycle accident occurred last Friday, at 10:49 p.m. on State Highway 288 in rural Logan County , claiming the life of a local man and injuring a passenger.


According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by 57-year-old Kenneth Myrick of Ozark, was traveling westbound when it lost control and overturned.

Myrick was pronounced deceased at the scene.


is passenger, 46-year-old Chrystal Daniels, also of Ozark, sustained injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.


The incident was investigated by Trooper Jeremy A. Elliott of the Arkansas State Police.


Myrick’s body has been taken to Roller Funeral Home in Paris, and next of kin have been notified.


This marks the 193rd fatal accident reported in the region this year. Further details are pending as the investigation continues.
