ASP reports information on accident last Friday that claimed 47-year-old Centerton man

A fatal Benton County collision occurred on Friday, July 12, at approximately 1:14 p.m. at the intersection of East Centerton Boulevard and Greenhouse Road, resulting in the death of a Centerton resident.
According to Arkansas State Police records, 47-year-old Efrain Herrera, the driver of a 2006 Dodge Durango, was pronounced dead following the incident.
The crash report indicates that Herrera’s westbound vehicle entered the eastbound lanes of State Highway 102, striking a 2017 Kia Sorento, which then collided with a 2012 GMC Sierra traveling in the same direction.
No other injuries were immediately reported by authorities, and the Benton County Coroner took custody of Herrera’s body. Next of kin have been notified. Weather and road conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.
The Centerton Police Department led the investigation, with Corporal Kenneth Lawvey listed as the reporting officer. Officer Lowvey reported clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of he accident.
