ASP releases information on August 26 Benton County wreck that killed 68-year-old Rogers man

A 68-year-old Rogers man was killed Thursday in a two vehicle accident in the 500 block of South Walnut Street in Rogers, according to the Arkansas State Police and Rogers Police Department. . Details of the accident were delayed until late Sunday to allow notification of the victim's next of kin.

According to the ASP preliminary report, Carl Musick was the driver of a 2012 Kia Rio that was southbound while pulling out of a private drive on Walnut Street and attempted to make a left turn.

He pulled into the oncoming traffic and was struck by a westbound 2006 Nissan Xterra traveling in the inside lane of Walnut.

Rogers moter patrol officer Patrick Ryan noted clear weather and dry roads at the time of the accident which occurred at 8:47 p.m.,
