A head-on collision on County Road 814 near Green Forest left two women dead and two others injured Tuesday morning, according to Arkansas State Police

Authorities say a 2020 Honda, driven by 18-year-old Floridalma Ochoa, was traveling eastbound around 9:05 a.m. when it crossed the centerline on a curve and struck a westbound 2015 Ford head-on.

Ochoa and her passenger, 26-year-old Dayari Anahi Cifuentes, both residents of Green Forest, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, identified as 36-year-old Kasi Smothers, also of Green Forest, sustained injuries and was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. A female juvenile passenger in the Honda also survived and was hospitalized.

The crash occurred in clear weather on dry pavement. The bodies were taken to Nelson Funeral Home. Next of kin have been notified.

Arkansas State Trooper Sean R. Palmer was the investigating trooper.
