Arkansas State Police reveal identities of six people killed in April 15 crash on SH 135 in Clay County

The Arkansas State Crime Lab has identified the six people who died in a two-vehicle accident in Clay County on April 15, 2024.


The accident occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of Arkansas State Highway 135 and U.S. Highway 62 near Corning in Clay County and involved a tractor-trailer and an SUV.


The driver of the SUV, Sonter Andon, 37, along with passengers Rekinna Alanso, 65, Santos Andon, 62, Nisdy Inek, 36, Jessica Inek, 34, and a 3-year-old, all of Paragould, were pronounced deceased on the scene by the Clay County Coroner's office.  


The driver of the tractor-trailer, Gerayne Poole, 82, of Piggott, was flown to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, where he was treated and released.
