A 2022 Sprint scooter traveling westbound on U.S. 412 was attempting to turn onto U.S. 412B West when its driver failed to yield to a 2023 Nissan traveling eastbound on U.S. 412. The Nissan struck the scooter, troopers said.

The bodies were taken to the Washington County coroner’s office. Next of kin have been notified.

Conditions at the time were cloudy with a wet road surface. Sr. Cpl. Mike Morgan of the Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash.

A 2016 Ford Focus traveling north on U.S. Highway 67 was listed in the report but was not described as involved in the collision.
