Arkansas State Police: Thirty-nine year -old Clarksville resident killed Saturday in one-car crash


A Clarksville man was a fatal victim in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday afternoon in Clarksville, according to the Arkansas State Police.


Benjamin Gould, 39, of Clarksville, was driving a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound in the 300 block of Montgomery Street shortly after 5:30 p.m Saturday when the vehicle exited the roadway sharply on the left side, struck a small rock wall and overturned.


Gould was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the information from the ASP preliminary report.


Senior Corporal Bryan Syfert , the investigating officer for the ASP, noted conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident, which was the 571st automotive fatality for the year in he state.
