A fatal motorcycle accident in Springdale on Tuesday took the lifeof 80-year-old Tommy Edward Elmore.
The accident took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 265, and Old MO Road in Springdale. Elmore, of Springdale, was riding a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on SH 265 when he attempted to turn right onto Old MO Road.
He lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn. He was subsequently thrown from the Harley and collided with two vehicles stopped in the south left turn lane: a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and a 2022 Nissan Frontier.
Elmore was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The preliminary report by Springdale traffic officer Patrick Olcott noted that the road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
