Arkansas State Police: Early Sunday morning head-on accident claims 88-year-old Paris resident



The Arkansas State Police says an 88-year-old Paris Man is dead and four other Logan County residents were injured severely enough to have to go to area hospitals after a crash occurred on Sunday morning in Carbon City on State highway 22. 


According to a preliminary report from the ASP, octogenarian Russell Bradley was killed June 2 at approximately 1:28 a.m. when the 2007 Ford he was driving west on State Highway 22 crossed leftof center and struck an eastbound 2015 Ford in the left front. 


The 2015 Ford was driven by 38-year-old Dustin Schluterman, also of Paris. 


Passengers Blake Schlutermann, 40, Kelly Edwards, 47, and Seth Anhalt, 35, all of Paris, were transported to Mercy Hospitals in Fort Smith and Paris for treatment of unspecified injuries.


Trooper Jeremy A. Elliott of the Arkansas State Police worked the collision and listed clear weather conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the early morning accident. 


The death ofSchluterman marks the 210th of the year on Arkansas roads and highways in 184 separate accidents.
