Arkansas State Police: Colorado woman swerves into path of school bus in Eureka Springs in two fatality crash

EUREKA SPRINGS, AR — A devastating head-on collision on US Highway 62 in Eureka Springs on April 18, 2025, resulted in the deaths of two Colorado residents, according to Arkansas State Police.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:25 a.m. when a 2013 Ford Escape, driven by 74-year-old Deborah Clark of Divide, Colorado, veered into the westbound lanes and collided with a 2022 school bus. Deborah Clark and her passenger, 77-year-old Richard Clark, also of Divide, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities reported that the weather was clear and the road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported among the occupants of the school bus.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Carroll County Coroner’s Office, and next of kin have been notified.
