Area hunter injured Saturday in fall from tree stand in rural Yell County

A 37-year-old man was rescued by Yell County emergency responders Saturday, after sustaining injuries in an accident while hunting.

According to our friends at River Valley Now multiple officers, from various law enforcement agencies, EMS workers and volunteers responded to a remote area approximately four miles northeast of Gravelly off of State Highway.28.

According to the report, the unidentified hunter was injured when he fell from a tree stand.

. The hunter received initial treatment from EMS personnel and was transported to a landing zone in Gravelly. Once he was stabilized by Pinnacle EMS, he was airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock for treatment.

The the injuries sustained in the incident and the current condition of the patient is unknown.
