Another plea deal on drug charges sends habitual offender to state prison with a 15-year sentence

A 49-year-old Fort Smith woman with a long and varied rap sheet stretching back over a number of years, was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections last week on a number of various drug charges in Sebastian County Circuit Court.


According to information from Arkansas Court Connect, Shannon Marie Brewer, whose last address listed with the court was in the 1400 block of Lyman Street in Fort Smith, received 15 years imposed with an additional 15 years suspended on a plea deal that included convictions on two counts delivery of scheduled i or II controlled substances. Brewer was also hit with a petition to revoke and was named an habitual offender for her previous convictions. In addition to two DWI convictions in Sebastian County, Brewer has had close to a dozen felony arrest in the 12th Circuit District of Sebastian County dating back to 2012. Most of her arrest and convictions have involved drug violations. Brewer will stay in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center until she is transferred to the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
