Alma man head to prison for eight years after guilty plea in molestation of ten-year-old boy

A 35-year-old Alma man who has been wandering the community since being released on a $50,000 bond in August 2021 is heading to prison with an eight-year sentence after a plea deal on sexual-related charges involving a minor.
According to information from Arkansas Court Connect and court records, Bryan Arleigh Robinson entered his plea statement in Tuesday and was sentenced to eight years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections by Judge Candice Settle on a Second Degree Sexual Assault conviction.
The Class B Felony charge, which stems from crimes committed against a ten-year-old male that occurred on August 11, 2021, also came with conditions including completing sex offender treatment while in prison and having to register as a sex offender once released from confinement. He was also order to pay a $250 Sex Offender Registry Fee.
According to sources, Robinson's plea deal was postponed on Tueday until it was the final action of the court session of the day, seemingly to keep other inmates from knowing about his sex crimes against the minor.
Shortly after Robinson was arrested in 2021, he was hit with a no-contact order for two juveniles living in his household. In the court proceedings o Tuesday he was also order to have no-contact with his live-in partner (at the time of the crimes) and another =minor female in the same household.
Prior to his arrest on the child molestation charges, Robinson had never had any interactions with the court beyond traffic citations.
