A 39-year-old Alma man remains behind bars tonight in the Crawford County Detention Center after a an arrest on Monday on fifteen felony charges related to criminal sexual activity with a minor.
Gary Allen Spain, who has also lived in Mountainburg, was arrested by the Crawford County Sheriff Office and booked into the CCDC at 11:04 p.m Monday night. He was charged with ten counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, three counts of Rape and two counts of Sexual Indecency with a Child.
Very few facts have been released about the arrest. Any information available on the arrest as the case proceeds to trial will be heavily redacted to protect the identity of the victim or victims.
Other than traffic violations and civil matters, Spain has no record to speak of in the county or state databases.
Spain is being being held on no bond for all fifteen counts.
