The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released a report on an accident that left one person dead on New Year's Eve in Adair County.
The wreck occurred around 5:18 p.m. in the westbound lanes of OK-51 in Adair County just west of South 4630 Road.
According to OHP, a Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by 41-year-old Roberta Studie-Maze of Tahlequah was heading westbound on Ok-51 when officers say, for an unknown reason, she drove left of the center lane.
A second vehicle, driven by 40-year-old Hershel Vann, who was heading eastbound, attempted to swerve and miss Studie-maze, but the two vehicles collided.
Vann was treated by Pafford EMS for minor injuries and released at the scene.
Studie-Maze was transported to Northeast Health System in Tahlequah by Pafford EMS where she was pronounced dead due to her injuries.
