Oklahoma Report: Man dead found shot dead in car in urban Tulsa creek
Police officials announced this morning that an unidentified subject is dead after his car plunged about 20 feet into a creek near the intersection of 31st and Garnett in urban Tulsa after he was shot by an unknown assailant.
Tulsa Police first thought it was a deadly traffic accident, but homicide detectives were called out to the scene because the victim had been shot.
They said he was shot in the torso and had bullet holes on the side of his car.
Police said the driver was apparently heading east on 31st Street, veered across the road and landed in Brookhollow Creek.
Pieces of the shooting victims vehile car were the located all over the Papa John's Pizza parking lot, which is adjacent to the area of the creek where the car was located.
Police said there is also another scene - that is possibly connected to the shooting - at the Quiktrip at 31st and Highway 169.
The victim was last seen alive around 31st and Mingo, according to officers.
