Drug stop nets $37,859 in cash, various drugs and results in two arrests by ASP

A traffic stop by the Arkansas State Police in Pope County on Monday netted $37,859 in cash and a backpack containing numerous individually wrapped marijuana products, including 11 THC vape cartridges, nine canisters of hash, two canisters of THC candy, a canister full of marijuana, a Ziploc bag of marijuana, packing materials and other drug paraphernalia. Justin M. Pulliam, 25, and Angela Chanthavixay, 26, were arrested on charges of possession with purpose to deliver, a Class D felony, after a state trooper stopped them for swerving onto the shoulder near the 92 eastbound mile marker on I-40.

The officer noted both subjects appeared overly nervous and the smell of raw marijuana emanated from the vehicle, according to the ASP report.

According to the report, the backpack also contained a large bundle of money and 21 individually wrapped bundles of money inside a vacuum seal bag.

Pulliam had an additional $1,358 on his person, and Chanthavixay had $1,380. Pulliam's bond was set at $50,000 during felony bond hearings on Wednesday inside the Pope County Detention Center.
